Preeti Narayanan is joining our family
Winters Hill bassets will be co-owned and run by Priya Mulani (Bombay) and Preeti Narayanan (Bangalore), effective 1st July 2008.
Preeti has been breeding Wire Haired Dachshunds since 2002, under the Windward Kennels prefix. Her interests in the Bassets started in 2003 when she first met Casper.
“A few years back I saw this dog called Casper at a dog show. Long, floppy ears, long body with skin that seemed to roll off him; lovely droopy eyes that just begged to be petted. How do you pass by a Basset Hound without stopping to scratch those mop-like ears and getting a lick from those come hither eyes?!
I ended up meeting Priya Mulani, who was a well-known Basset Hound breeder, and discovered that she was the proud owner of Casper. And that was it! Before I could stop myself I became the proud and slightly bemused owner of Dopey, a Casper daughter! Floppy, playful, boisterous, droopy-eyed Dopey and I will admit that I love every moment of it!
I felt it was a dream come true when Priya put forward the idea of me joining the Winters Hill family. This was the perfect opportunity to get involved with a breed that I had completely fallen in love with.
With our combined experience, passion and resources we hope to be able to make a further significant contribution to the Bassets in India”
